In the combined group (children with obesity group and children with normal weight together), serum ALT positively correlated with BMI (p = 0.0007), waist circumference (p = 0.0009), insulin (p < 0.0001), HOMA-IR (p < 0.0001), and TG (p = 0.0010), and negatively correlated with HDL-c (p = 0.0121), and Apo A1 (p = 0.0126) while serum BChE positively correlated with BMI (p = 0.0007), waist circumference (p = 0.0143), insulin (p = 0.0494), HOMA-IR (p = 0.0320), and TG (p = 0.0015), and negatively with HDL-c (p = 0.0416). This evidence concerns the gene INS and obesity disorder.
