As is known, the RNA-binding protein partner of NOB1” (PNO1) is essential in ribosomebiogenesis.11–13 In addition, increasing evidence suggeststhat ribosome biogenesis plays important roles in cell growth and proliferation ofmany cancers, including glioma.14–17 Thus, inhibiting ribosome biogenesis mightprovide new opportunities for cancer treatment. This evidence concerns the gene PNO1 and cancer.
