Intriguingly, theCO-IP experiments in this study indicated that THBS1 interacted with PNO1 in U251cells, which has been reported to be associated with tumor development andprogression in several types of cancer.9 Notably, THBS1 was highly expressed inhigh-grade glioma patients, and THBS1 silencing inhibited GBM cell growth andinvasion.23,29 In our study, we observed that the inhibition ofTHBS1 knockdown on glioma cell growth and invasion could be rescued by PNO1overexpression. This evidence concerns the gene PNO1 and cancer.
