Three months later, the atherosclerotic plaque increased in size and measured 0.18 ± 0.05 × 106 μm2, 0.16 ± 0.06 × 106 μm2, 0.13 ± 0.06 × 106 μm2, 0.25 ± 0.1 × 106 μm2, and 0.27 ± 0.15 × 106 μm2 in the AD-ApoE Kyoto, AD-ApoE Sendai, AD-apoE3, AD-eGFP, and ApoE (−/−) groups, respectively (Fig. 6).
