SIRT1 stayed at a similar level in COX-2 TG mice on the regular control diet, but it was moderately upregulated in both WT and COX-2 TG mice on the HF + Eth diet, implying that SIRT1 is involved more in the diet-induced pathway than the inflammatory pathway that initiates energy rerouting. This evidence concerns the gene PTGS2 and hydrops fetalis.
