We found that GLI1 overexpression resulted in increased phosphatidylinositol (3,4,5)-trisphosphate (PIP3) levels in THP-1/OE and U937/OE cells (Fig. 3C), and the expression levels of PIK3R1 and AKT3 were positively correlated with the GLI1 expression level in AML patients (Fig. 3D). Here, GLI1 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
