The data set revealed that STK11, PTEN, TP53, and KRAS were mutated in between nine and 68 percent of lung cancers, with TP53 mutations having the highest incidence and PTEN the lowest in a cohort of 1144 lung cancer samples (of which 660 were adenocarcinomas and 484 SCC). This evidence concerns the gene PTEN and lung carcinoma.
