In the univariate analysis, T3-T4 stage (p < 0.001), lymph node metastasis (p < 0.001), noncentral tumor (p = 0.027), poor differentiation (p = 0.044), preoperative CEA > 5 ng/mL (p = 0.001), RDW-SD ≤ 40.2 fl (p = 0.004), RDW-CV ≤ 12.6% (p = 0.030), ALB < 40 g/L (p = 0.048), operation time ≥ 230 min (p = 0.015), blood loss ≥ 300 ml (p = 0.030) and decreased SCC score (p = 0.007) were all associated with shorter OS (Table 2).
