Only 0.6% had a P/LP variant in moderate risk genes, RAD51C, CHEK2, NBN, STK11, and ATM. There were no variants found in MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, or PMS2. The rate of inherited breast and ovarian cancer in the Bahamas was 70 of 247 (28%) with recurrent founder variants BRCA1 and BRCA2. There were 7 founder variants in 92% of variant carriers and a single pathogenic variant was found in the remaining 8% (eTable 2 in the Supplement). The gene discussed is PMS2; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
