LGALS3 and hepatocellular carcinoma: Removal of HCC‐secreted LGALS3 from the surface of osteoclasts via lactose or LGALS3 antagonist GCS‐100 drastically impaired the CM‐HCC/RNF219‐induced osteoclastogenesis (Figure 2F), indicating that HCC secreted‐LGALS3 was required for the fusion of mono‐nuclear progenitor osteoclasts to multi‐nuclear mature osteoclasts.
