A case-cohort study, based on the EPIC-Heidelberg cohort, analyzed pre-diagnostic serum concentrations of Fe, ferritin, transferrin, and TSAT in relation to cancer risk and mortality in a random subcohort (n = 2,738) and incident cases of CRC (n = 256), LC (n = 195), BC (n = 627), PC (n = 554), and cancer mortality (n = 759) 10 years after basal evaluation [35]. This evidence concerns the gene TF and cancer.
