ATG16L1 and acute myeloid leukemia: The following functional and mechanistic studies show that DANCR is able to enhance the chemoresistance of AML cells to Ara‐C treatment through an autophagy‐dependent manner via sponging miR‐874‐3P/ATG16L1 axis, since DANCR promotes Ara‐C‐induced autophagy by increasing ATG16L1 level through directly interacting with miR‐874‐3P and reducing its level, and moreover, autophagy inhibition via ATG16L1 depletion markedly diminishes DANCR‐elicited chemoresistance in AML cells (Fig. 7).
