Moreover, we have for the first time clarified the relationship between TRIM6 and renal fibrosis in different models: The Ang II-induced formation of ROS favored the nuclear translocation of NF-κB p50 and p65 to activate the transcription of TRIM6, which further activated the mTORC1 signaling by promoting the ubiquitination of two TSC proteins (Figure 8). The gene discussed is TRIM6; the disease is renal fibrosis.
