With the purpose of investigating Tau hyperphosphorylation in WAR, a rat model of epilepsy and neuropsychiatric comorbidities Cunha et al [25]; Garcia-Cairasco et al [26] including Alzheimer's-associated cognitive decline Alves et al [27], we initially prepared hippocampal extracts from 12-month-old Wistar rats, and evaluated Tau protein levels, both phosphorylated at Ser388 (analogous to Ser396 in humans) and total Tau.
