Although it is reported that CRP concentrations are higher in patients with abdominal aortic aneurysm (Shangwei et al., 2017), poor cognitive performance and cognitive decline over time (Yaffe et al., 2003), anxiety disorders (Naudé et al., 2018), and Alzheimer’s disease (Zaciragic et al., 2007), it is not known whether these conditions affect the effect size of CRP-related genetic variants. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
