Data reported by Kovacs et al. (2005) showed that the CRP difference between carriers and non-carriers of the rs3091244 A-allele was greater in myocardial infarction survivors (P < 0.02) than matched controls (NS), consistent with the higher estimated median concentrations of the survivors (1.46 vs. 0.96 mg/L, Fig. 6A). Here, CRP is linked to myocardial infarction.
