Consistent with the important role of RAD54 protein in DNA double strand break repair, gene mutations at this locus have been detected in a great number of human cancers, including non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, colon adenocarcinoma and invasive ductal breast carcinoma (Liu et al., 2018; Mazin et al., 2010). The gene discussed is ATRX; the disease is invasive ductal breast carcinoma.
