A patient with higher MS disease activity requiring a high-efficacy DMD, but who does not want to take a DMD during her pregnancy, may be willing to consider a trade off, where she waits until after the IRT treatment course and its recommended washout period (4 months for alemtuzumab, 6 months for cladribine tablets) to become pregnant, in return for a good possibility of conducting her pregnancy uncomplicated by either relapses or treatment with a DMD. The gene discussed is DMD; the disease is myeloid sarcoma.
