By examining the copy number alterations (CNAs) of DUB genes in the human genome using a previously curated gene list ([35]; Supplementary Fig. 1) we observed amplification of USP13 in approximately 15% of cervical cancers, which was also seen in a number of other squamous carcinomas (Supplementary Fig. 1 and Fig. 1A). This evidence concerns the gene USP13 and squamous cell carcinoma.
