These data are consistent with MB49 PD‐L1 signals playing a major role in immune defenses as expected, but also consistent with PD‐L1 mediating important tumor‐intrinsic growth and metastatic signals, which could be through mTORC1, seen as almost total inhibition of the phosphorylation (activation) of the mTORC1 target molecules rpS6 and 4EBP‐1 in PD‐L1KO versus control MB49 and RT4, among other possibilities. The gene discussed is CD274; the disease is neoplasm.
