We found that BC cell‐intrinsic PD‐L1 promotes autophagy, as detected by a reduced LC3‐II/LC3‐I ratio in PD‐L1KO MB49 and RT4 versus respective control cells (Figure 6A,B), in striking contrast to mouse B16 melanoma and ID8agg ovarian cancer cells and human ES2 ovarian cancer cells, where we found that tumor cell‐intrinsic PD‐L1 inhibited autophagy.13 This evidence concerns the gene CD274 and melanoma.
