RAD51 and cancer: In one such high‐throughput analysis, van Dam et al. (2012) identified the mouse BC055324 gene [3], whose human ortholog is C1ORF112, as being strongly co‐expressed with genes previously associated with cancer in the literature, like RAD51 and CCDC6. C1ORF112 is also co-expressed with many genes in the BRCA–Fanconi anaemia-related DNA damage response pathway, including BRCA1, BRCA2, FANCD2, and FANCI [3].
