Western blot analysis showed that the expression of p-AKT, a constitutively active form of AKT, was significantly higher in TMZ-resistant glioma cells compared with that in their parental cells, whereas the expression of total AKT has no change, indicating that AKT played a critical role in chemoresistance of GBM (Figure 6A). The gene discussed is AKT1; the disease is glioma.
