The suggestion that GAPDH plays an important role in carcinogenesis through the regulation of the cell cycle is supported by the report that this enzyme, as well as a group of important centrosome antigens associated with centrosome assembly and/or microtubule function such as stathmin 1, SUMO/Centrin peptidase, peri-centriolar material-1, HS actin gamma1, and ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2, are targeted by autoantibodies in BC sera, all of them associated with the diagnosis of invasive BC [83].
