Our results supported a positive correlation between the extent of monocyte activation and NOTCH1 signaling strength (R2=0.79; p<0.0001), which may result from a recruitment of NOTCH1 ligand expressing monocytes to CLL cells and/or from an activation of B cell-intrinsic signaling pathways subsequent to a release of signaling molecules into the culture medium by activated effector cells (Lopez-Guerra et al., 2020). This evidence concerns the gene NOTCH1 and B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
