FSCN1 has been reported to play an important role in the regulation of cell motility and migration, which function in normal embryonic development and tumor progression.1, 2, 3,60 FSCN1 controls a variety of critical cell motility processes, such as directed cell migration, neurite or growth cone extension, and dendrite formation during normal development.60, 61, 62, 63, 64 When FSCN1 is expressed in the above processes, its effects on actin-filament structures are responsible for the enhancement of cell motility.
