CRP and stroke disorder: C-reactive protein (CRP) and fibrinogen, considered as well-proven clinical markers of systemic inflammation, are acute-phase protein synthesized by hepatocytes against inflammation (Dalmon et al., 1993; Pepys and Hirschfield, 2003) and can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease (Scirica and Morrow, 2006; Zhang et al., 2014) and stroke (Coull et al., 1991; Cao et al., 2007; Jiménez et al., 2015).
