IL10 and myocardial infarction: First, while the number of B cells peaks after the onset of ischemia228, B cells produce proinflammatory cytokines to reduce cardiac contractility and promote cardiomyocyte apoptosis229; then, B cells accumulate in the infarcted heart, produce IL-10 affected by pericardial adipose tissues (PAT) and preferentially express cytokines, and B cells promote inflammation resolution and reduce myocardial injury to preserve cardiac function during the resolution of inflammation after MI.
