We also compared the discriminatory performance between recent and persistent QFT+ of CFP-10/ESAT-6-specific or M.tb lysate-specific HLA-DR+ IFN-γ+TNF+ CD4 T cells (Supplementary Table 7), an adaptation of a previously published biomarker with excellent discrimination between tuberculosis cases and healthy controls and which also showed promise as a tuberculosis treatment monitoring biomarker, since it decreased significantly upon successful tuberculosis therapy [20].
