Then, we performed a series for functional annotation and enrichment analyses in TMPRSS2, demonstrating that TMPRSS2 is mostly enriched in regulation of viral entry into host cell, protein processing, and serine‐type peptidase activity, and is associated with prostate gland cancer cell expression, different complex(es) formation, human diseases of influenza and carcinoma, and pathways in prostate cancer, influenza A, and transcription misregulation in cancer. Here, TMPRSS2 is linked to prostate carcinoma.
