In a multivariate analysis, adjusted for age, history of arterial hypertension, hs-cTnT, C-reactive protein, procalcitonin and serum sodium on admission, hs-cTnT (aHR 1.01, 95%CI 1.00–1.02, P = 0.17) and C-reactive protein (aHR 1.01, 95%CI 1.00–1.01, P = 0.045), and a history of arterial hypertension (aHR 3.68 95%CI 1.27–10.69, P = 0.017) were found to predict worsening of at least one clinical stage defined by Siddiqi et al. [6]. This evidence concerns the gene TNNT2 and Hypertension.
