General analysis showed that the rs231775 polymorphism of the CTLA-4 gene decreased RA risk [OR and 95% CI: 0.92 (0.86–0.98) in G vs. A; 0.86 (0.75–0.99) in GG+GA vs. AA; 0.86 (0.78–0.95) in GG vs. GA+AA; and 0.90 (0.83–0.98) in GG vs. AA, Table 3]. This evidence concerns the gene CTLA4 and rheumatoid arthritis.
