FER1L4 and carcinoma: Previous study indicated that FER1L4 inhibited AKT activation in carcinoma (Gao et al., 2019) by acting as miRNAs sponges to prevent miRNAs from binding their natural targets (Ye et al., 2019) or promoting the expression of phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) (Qiao and Li, 2016; Sun et al., 2019), an antagonism of PI3K/AKT signaling pathway.
