Gilteritinib which has shown improved outcomes in relapsed/refractory FLT3 mutated AML (83) is also being studied in an ongoing phase 2 study (NCT02927262) where patients are randomized to receive gilteritinib or placebo for a 2-year period after completion of induction/consolidation chemotherapy (83).
