Patients with high IgSF11 expression presented high levels of expression of CD4 and CD8 compared to low IgSF11 expression (p < 0.0001) (Figure 5A), suggesting that although glioma microenvironment is highly infiltrated by CD8 and CD4 cells, the latter would be able to exhibit limited effector functions owing to the high expression of IgSF11 gene, in addition to other immune suppressive genes. This evidence concerns the gene IGSF11 and central nervous system cancer.
