PTEN and neoplasm: Studies revealed that miR-142 participates in tumor cell proliferation, differentiation, invasion, and metastasis by regulating numerous genes, such as phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase (PIK3CA), ras-related protein rap-1 A (RAP1A), Frizzled7 receptor (FZD7) and phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) [4–7].
