In the univariate analysis, the following variables were significantly associated with IDC: presence of palpable mass; MMG findings of ≥ category 4; mass formations on US or dynamic MRI; tumor size, including non-mass enhancement on MRI, of > 20 mm; preoperative pathological findings (hormone receptor-negative DCIS, HER2 [3 +], DCIS grade [intermediate or high grade], nuclear grade [2 or 3], and presence of comedo necrosis; Table 2). The gene discussed is ERBB2; the disease is ductal breast carcinoma in situ.
