With the capacity of medium-chain aliphatic and aromatic aldehyde metabolizing enzyme, ALDH3A1 is abundant in the upper respiratory tract, cornea, digestive tract, esophagus, and stomach and is reported to be highly expressed in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) as a prognostic marker for patients with NSCLC (Pappa et al., 2003; Rebollido-Rios et al., 2020). Here, ALDH3A1 is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
