Since we have observed a frequent association of BCL2 positivity and CD200 overexpression in AML patients [18], we aimed to elucidate the prognostic role of CD200/BCL2 co-expression and its association with specific leukemia subsets in our cohort of AML patients treated with intensive chemotherapy, with the purpose of identifying patients suitable for new targeted treatments. The gene discussed is BCL2; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
