SOX17 overexpression upregulated the expression of arterial markers EFNB2, DLL4, NOTCH4, CXCR4, and HEY1 in all 3 HE subsets, with the highest levels of expression observed in the DLL4+CXCR4+ HE subpopulation. This evidence concerns the gene CXCR4 and hereditary elliptocytosis.
