At 6 months, the mean change in central intraretinal fluid area was + 0.066 mm2 and -0.115 mm2 in the anti-VEGF and sirolimus groups, respectively (p = 0.75); the mean change in central choroidal neovascularization area was + 0.310 mm2 and -0.538 mm2 in the anti-VEGF and sirolimus groups, respectively (p = 0.09); the mean change in subretinal fluid area was + 0.355 mm2 and -0.713 mm2 for the anti-VEGF group and sirolimus group, respectively (p = 0.04). Here, VEGFA is linked to choroidal neovascularization.
