In this study, BLITZ revealed several putative cavin interactors that have also been shown to be involved in cardiomyopathies and/or skeletal myopathies, including the membrane protein Dystrophin (Deconinck and Dan, 2007), the triad-associated proteins Bin1 (Nicot et al., 2007), Cypher/ZASP (Selcen and Engel, 2005), and SPEG (Agrawal et al., 2014). This evidence concerns the gene DMD and cardiomyopathy.
