When comparing 268 GWAS genes associated with MDD from a recent study21 to the top 1000 portrait genes, 14 common genes were: SPRY2, ELAV2, CELF2, FADS2, FNIP2, ZC3H7B, PSEN2, BAZ2B, SORBS3, FANCL, ZNF184, PHF2, SGIP1, and CSMD1. This evidence concerns the gene BAZ2B and major depressive disorder.
