Among them, 17 out of 28 genes exhibited significantly differential expression (P < 0.001), including KIAA1429, FMR1, HNRNPA2B21, HNRNPC, IGF2BP1, PRRC2A, YTHDF1, ZNF217 being upregulated and METTL14, WTAP, ZC3H13, METTL16, ZCCHC4, FTO, EIF3A, IGF2BP2, YTHDC1 being downregulated in breast cancer samples (Figure 1A and Figure S1B), suggesting their potential involvement in tumorigenesis of breast cancer. This evidence concerns the gene METTL16 and breast carcinoma.
