IPO7 and colorectal cancer: Elevated IPO7 was found in various cancer types such as colorectal cancer (CRC), which can be explained by the fact that the transcription of gene IPO7 was suppressed by p53 and promoted by c-Myc (Golomb et al., 2012), as well as glioma, in which IPO7 increased promoter activity of FOXM1, leading to the nuclear import of GL1 and glioma development (Xue et al., 2015).
