G. elata Blume decreased L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-DOPA)-induced dyskinesia in a PD mouse model by inhibiting phosphorylated extracellular regulated protein kinases (pERK) and FBJ murine osteosarcoma viral oncogene homolog B (FosB) expression, which are abnormally activated by long-term use of L-DOPA (Doo et al., 2014). This evidence concerns the gene FOSB and drug-induced dyskinesia.
