There were no significant differences in age, sex, diabetes prevalence, LVEF, body mass index (BMI), diastolic pressure, systolic pressure, fasting blood glucose, serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, triglyceride, total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), as well as taking aspirin, angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEI)/ angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) and other statins between the two groups (all P > 0.05). Here, ACE is linked to diabetes mellitus.
