In details, upregulated DEGs were mostly involved in MicroRNAs in cancer, cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction, PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, cytosolic DNA-sensing pathway, retrograde endocannabinoid signaling, Toll-like receptor signaling pathway and Hippo signaling pathway (at least two DEGs, P <  0.05, File S10), while downregulated DEGs were principally enriched in citrate cycle, biosynthesis of amino acids, gap junction, carbon metabolism and complement and coagulation cascades (at least two DEGs, P <  0.05, File S10). This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and cancer.
