To further investigate the potential significance of SPANX-A/D in the proliferation and migration capacity of melanoma cells, we used lentiviral-mediated delivery of short hairpin (sh) RNAs to generate stable knockdown variants of the A375 human melanoma cell line with reduced expression of SPANX-A/D (A375SPANX-KD) and a control cell line (A375CTRL). Here, SPANXA1 is linked to melanoma.
