To better understand the underlying mechanisms of the potent antisteatotic and insulin-sensitizing effects of krill oil supplementation in mice with exacerbated hepatic steatosis, and to determine how these mechanisms differ in mice given omega-3 PUFAs as TAGs (see also Figure 1A), we analyzed the metabolipidomic profiles of the liver using four different LC-MS platforms (see Section 2.11 for details).
