SIAH2, an E3 RING finger ubiquitin ligase that influences formation of neuroendocrine phenotype and neuroendocrine prostate tumors through its actions on HIF-1α and FOXA2 [136], is also involved in AR ubiquitination to regulate its transcriptional activity by targeting for degradation a select pool of NCOR1-bound transcriptionally-inactive AR on a group of gene promoters/enhancers [137]. Here, AR is linked to prostate neuroendocrine neoplasm.
