Minimal deviation adenocarcinoma of mucinous type (ie, adenoma malignum), which is included in the spectrum of gastric-type endocervical adenocarcinomas, is characterized by low-grade morphology, with very well-differentiated glands with a “claw-like” pattern, lined by cells with abundant intracytoplasmic mucin and minimally atypical nuclei. Here, MUC5AC is linked to endocervical adenocarcinoma.
