To analyze the frequency and absolute counts of the four NK cell subsets in T1D patients at disease onset, PR, no PR (8M), and after 12M of progression, NK cells were detected as scatter-gated peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), CD3-CD19-, CD56+, CD14− and CD16+ or − (Supplementary Figure 1).
